利用電解法，由硫酸銨和硫酸配制成電解液，經(jīng)除雜質(zhì)后進(jìn)行電解，HS04在陽(yáng)極放電生成過(guò)二硫酸，再與硫酸銨反應(yīng)得到過(guò)硫酸銨。當(dāng)陽(yáng)極液中過(guò)硫酸銨含量達(dá)到一定濃度后，經(jīng)過(guò)濾、晶、離心分離、干燥即可。

用作四氟乙烯聚合時(shí)的引發(fā)劑。也是某些水溶性單體如丙烯酸及其酯、丙烯酰胺、醋酸乙烯酯等聚合或共聚的引發(fā)劑。還可用作漂白劑、脫臭劑、氧化劑、蛋白試劑和鋼鐵的分析試劑。也是制造過(guò)硫酸鹽和雙氧水的原料。

大鼠經(jīng)口LDso：820mg/kg。助燃，具腐蝕性、剌激性，可致人體灼傷。對(duì)皮膚黏膜有刺激性和腐蝕性。吸入后引起鼻炎、喉炎、氣短和咳嗽等。眼、皮膚接觸可引起強(qiáng)烈刺激、疼痛甚至灼傷。口服引起腹痛、惡心和嘔吐。工作人員應(yīng)作好防護(hù)，若不慎觸及皮膚和眼睛，應(yīng)立即用大量流動(dòng)清水沖洗。貯存于陰涼、干燥倉(cāng)庫(kù)內(nèi)，遠(yuǎn)離火種、熱源。不可與有機(jī)物、還原劑、易燃易爆等物品混貯混運(yùn)。
